Happy Memories for Chris and Moi: 4th post - The Crouching Photographer

Since Chris asked me to post a few more Leipzig photos this week because she is so homesick for Leipzig, I created this post series for her. I hope this comforts you a bit.

I think this was in February 2010, I had just bought my Lomo Fisheye2 and learned how to use it. Chris and I went to the Markkleeberger See and there we took a lot of pictures. In this picture you can see Chris crouching to get a certain picture.

I know we are running a bit late, but Chris is nearly drowning in work and I had a dental surgery last week from which I recover much slower than I thought I would. So anyway, for January it's just me running this blog, but I'll do my best. ;-)

Good Morning. Isn't it fabulous? A new week has started. With possibilities abound. Let's make the best of it.

Thankfully I'm back on late shift, therefore I have more time on my hands to get my stuff done and check out your blogs.

How was your Sunday? I enjoyed mine thoroughly. Sleeping in, taking a looong shower, dressing up and going into town to enjoy Caffe Lattes and write down the epiphanies I had this Saturday. As a matter of fact I wrote so much, that I filled up my moleskine notebook and am now switching to my red knitted cover benetton notebook that Chris gave me as an early christmas present, one week early. Awesome.

The Sunshine Fountain

Good Morning.

It's Friday and that means the weekend is only a few hours away. I don't know about you, but my Thursday was brilliant. I've got tons of stuff done and therefore my to-do-list was shrinking away like a waterlily in the Sahara. I was also quite creative, I drew several new postcards* and I took a few pics when I went for a walk during the golden hour. And I finished my day off with watching a few nice movies.

Today, I have also tons of stuff to do, a lot of it is related to San's Visual Art. In any case I wish all of you a wonderful Friday. And if you are searching for holiday gifts check out Dawanda and etsy.

Chris has been to Leipzig during the last week, so we took the time to take new pictures, ponder some ideas and go for a few bike tours together. It was a fantastic week.

Geometric street

All these pics are from Sunday. I'm currently fascinated with geometric forms and shadows.

Tomorrow I'll take the train to a small town in the black forest. I'll stay with a friend for one night and then take another train to Stuttgart where I'll attend another interview. After the interview I'll bord the train back to Leipzig. 1500 km for a 90 minute interview. This is normal for me, I don't really think about it.

Sunday bordering on perfection

I have to admit it, I was pondering the question if I should post these pictures, because I didn't want to make Chris cry again. But she asked for the pictures (comment on yesterdays post) so they come:

A perfect Sunday needs a visit to Starbucks (or a nice café if there isn't any Starbucks). Luckily Leipzig has two Starbucks' and I prefer the two floor shop, since you sit quite undisturbed on the top floor and can watch people and ponder things. Which I did as you can see. I had a major breakthrough last night and I needed to think it through and Starbucks is perfect for this. And I got into a chat with "my" barista and he gave me another idea of where to apply, I'm not talking a Starbucks position. I LOVE Starbucks.

These haven't been all pictures, I shot oh, about 95, but who's counting. ;-)

Now you may ask why don't I consider this Sunday "perfect", there are three reasons:

1. I missed Chris
2. it's Annoying Week for me
   
3. I don't go to work tomorrow

Pictures of a perfect afternoon walk

I'm so LUCKY. No, really, I feel really lucky today. Leipzig was bathed in sunshine today and after coming back from the city at 3 PM I felt the strong urge to go for a walk. So I brought my library books home and went for a walk and explored the surroundings of where I live now.
I found beauty and was rewarded by the universe for every step that I took.
Normally I'm shy when exploring, but it is as if the universe is telling me to already get over with it, because it is a learned / trained shyness and not my natural self. I took several pictures of the beauty surrounding me, here they are.






I even found a swing on an empty (no children anywhere to be seen) playground and took advantage of it. I haven't used a swing in over a year and I just love swinging.






And I found money! Not much, but I could buy chocolate with it. ;-)
