Sickness + Vacation + Wiesn = Bloggers Silence

Apologies for those two weeks of silence, but as the title states Chris and I had several reasons for our no-show on this very blog.

I've been on vacation for almost 2 weeks without computer* and as I got back I had to battle my cold**. Chris first was on vacation (in Leipzig when I was away, it was planned in another way but... life kinda interfered with our plans... well, my plans anyway) and then the madness called "Wiesn" or "Oktoberfest" started in Munich, so...

This pic was taken at the beach of the Darss in March this year. I will publish pictures of my vacation in Austria here soon.

That's it for today. Hope all of you are well and wishing you a wonderful day/week.

*Bliss!
** Still am sick, but it's getting better.

New terrain

New terrain, without a prewalked path. So much more exciting and interesting than the paved roads most people take these days. I might be slower, take detours, stumble, fall flat on my face, but it is my own way. MY VERY OWN LIFE. I want to see and experience different things. I don't want to do what most people do. Sometimes I tend to forget this, I get caught up in the lifeplan of a different, a usual person. And then comes a wakeup call and I'm reminded that I have my own mind, my own way of thinking and living and that I should stay true to myself. I got this call on Friday.
These last weeks I lived the life of a different person. I told myself that I'm fine, that everything is fantastic. I succeeded in making myself believe that it was the right thing for me. Looking back now, I know it wasn't. I got caught up in a different persons life. Now I'm back to finding my own way. Taking it slowly, step by step, hour by hour, day by day and feeling like myself again.
Thanks dear Universe.

Mirrored boathouses

Sundays are there to relax. For me that means: Starbucks. Drinking a nice Café Latte, watching people stroll by and thinking about life. What also helps me to relax are pictures like this. The port of Prerow on the Darss. Life can be so easy. I hope you'll have an easy and relaxing Sunday too.

It's flowing, finally

My life that is. My job is fantastic though a bit taxing at the moment.  I'm finally back in training (started with Iyengar yoga 1 1/2 weeks ago and will start with swim training in September). I can afford to go to Starbucks whenever I feel like it, my flat is in a state that I can actually invite people without 3hours of cleaning beforehand and I'm positive that I will have a nice partner pretty soon. It's all in the flow now. Thanks dear Universe.

Hope all of you are well too.

Beige and blue

March on the Darss. No fresh green grass has appeared yet. It might look warm but it was freezing. It's currently freezing in Leipzig too. 12°C or 53°F in July, what a bad joke.

Have a great new week and brave the weird weather.

Is it just around the corner?!

I took this photo during my vacation in March. I loved these wooden paths, somehow they made it even more interesting.

However this picture is also symbolic for my current life. I'm going my way and always hope that after the next turn I'll finally reach at least one of my goals. As I write this (Tuesday evening, did I mention that I HATE Tuesdays?!) I'm in a bad and slightly forlorn mood (which is always happening on Tuesdays, even when I was on vacation in Dublin!). Luckily tomorrow is another day and I can make headway towards my goals. Someday I'll reach them, it's just a matter of time and persistance. Now, where is my chocolate?

The Lone Ride

Took this at my last trip to the Darss, at the end of March. Can't believe it's already been a month.

Baltic Sea Vacation - Woodland and Boats

The old harbor near the lighthouse of the Darss.

Flooded deciduous forest near the lighthouse.

Coniferous forest, my favourite by the way. I really dislike deciduous forests.
